El Charco Azul

El Charco Azul (literally “the blue pond”) delivers on its name. Fed by two small streams that tumble down a small rock face, the swimming hole’s waters are a tempting turquoise blue. Cool your feet in the shallow end with some of the resident fish, or float on over to the deep end where there’s also a small boulder you can jump off of. And while El Charco Azul looks like a remote jungle local, it’s actually an easy ½ mile walk along a paved walk in the woods with a few bridges criss-crossing the stream.
