El Pinar Robaina Tobacco Farm has been growing tobacco in Cuba’s famed Vuelta Abajo region since 1845. Widely regarded as the finest leaf in the world, El Pinar Robaina debuted their own brand of cigars in 1997 to international acclaim. While Alejandro Robaina, the former owner who made the brand so famous, died in April 2010, his family continues to operate the farm. On a guided tour, you’ll see first hand how tobacco is grown, harvested, dried, and rolled. After having been surrounded by the intoxicating aroma of tobacco for half an hour, you’ll also likely want to purchase some stogies to bring home with you.
