Lithuania
This park in the exact center of the European continent is filled with unusual modern sculptures, including a Guinness Record holder.
Founded in 1991 by Lithuanian sculptor Gintaras Karosas, Europos Parkas is a serene 55 hectares swath of woodland dotted with pieces of modern art of all shapes and sizes. Home to over 90 works from 27 countries, some of the most well-known are LNK Infotree, which is made from 3,000 television sets and holds a Guinness World Record, and Monument of the Centre of Europe, which indicates the distance to a number of European capitals. In the heart of the park, visitors will find Liubavas, one of the oldest estates in the country, which is now a museum of history and culture. The museum’s key exhibit is dedicated to watermills, and the manor has the only mill in the country with completely restored equipment, allowing visitors to see the processing of grain, wood, and metal, as well as power generation.
