This majestic natural wonder is the tallest and most renowned waterfall in the mountainous region of Solo.
Grojogan Sewu Waterfall, meaning “a thousand showers”, is just a one-hour drive from Solo and stands tall at 81 meters, situated 100 meters above sea level. The waterfall creates a mesmerizing spectacle as its cascading waters disperse tiny droplets that will reach you from a considerable distance. Upon arriving at the parking lot, a pleasant walk of several hundred meters or a pony ride awaits you for extra charge. Descend over 600 stairs along the entrance of the route and become immersed in lush greenery, inhabited by the macaque monkey species commonly found in Bali. The area surrounding the waterfall offers thrilling activities such as a flying fox and rafting, or you can simply enjoy the refreshing air and gentle breezes surrounding the cascades. After admiring the waterfall, enjoy a satay stick from one of the numerous vendors nearby selling the popular Indonesian delicacy. Entry to Grojogan Sewu Waterfall requires an entrance fee of IDR 160,000.
