Gwangmyeong Cave reopened to the public in 2011, impressing visitors with its historical displays, aquariums, sculptures, light shows, and children’s activities. Stare in awe at the Wormhole Square full of mesmerizing light displays, the Cave Underground World, which retraces the paths of miners carrying mined ore, and the enchanting Cave Underground Lake. Beyond the cave's entrance, traces of the miners' past can be found, including historical sites like 'Seongwangjang' (Ore Separation Site), 'Dogonae' (The Road of Salt), Miner Stone Statue, and the Girl Statue of Peace. An outdoor observation platform, the 'Sky View,' offers a captivating view of the cave's surroundings, while the romantic Maru de Cave, a high-class wine restaurant, serves Korean beef steaks crafted by leading chefs from prestigious hotels. The cave welcomes visitors on weekdays from 9AM to 6PM, with the last admission one hour before closing. Admission fees range from 2,000 to 6,000 WON.
