Established in the 1750s. Hampden Sugar Estate is one of the oldest and best-regarded rum distilleries in Jamaica. On a guided tour, you’ll pass through the cane fields to the estate where you’ll be welcomed with a rum punch to sip while learning about Jamaica before heading to the historic distillery where they still use almost the same techniques as they did 260 years ago. Finish off your visit with a sampling of their award-winning rums, and then sit down to a lunch of jerk pork or jerk chicken with festivals. Of course, there’s also a gift shop where you can stock up on all sorts of famously funky rums. Please note: Reservations must be made in advance. All guests must be 18+, and as this is an active distillery, closed toe shoes are required. The cost of the tour is not included in the stop price.
