From the lofty western wall above the moat, relish sweeping vistas of the surrounding countryside. In spring, the Iga Ueno Ninja Festa, spanning five weeks from early April to the Golden Week holiday in May, immerses you in a world of ninja-themed activities, performances, and contests. During late October, the Ueno Tenjin Festival captivates with its nine elaborate danjiri parade floats and the mesmerizing "procession of ogres" on the final day. The castle is open 9AM to 5PM daily.
