Tanzania
Unlike their name suggests, these bright blue waters are surprisingly cool, and a great place to let off a little steam.
Imagine picture-perfect, crystal clear, lush turquoise waters surrounded by a glorious green oasis of trees and natural vegetation; you’re imagining the Kikuletwa Hot Spring. But don’t let the name deceive you - they name comes from the bubbling effect create by the spring. In fact, the hot springs are pretty cool, as they're also fed by water straight from the glacier on top of Mount Kilimanjaro! This beautiful body of water is so clear that it reflects the colours of the ground, the sky and the surrounding green landscape and glistens in the sun. You can take a walk through the rainforest, a dip in the pool and if you’re feeling adventurous, even swing from the tree ropes into the water! You may be familiar with foot spas that use tiny fish to provide a peculiar chiropody treatment. Well, no need to splurge on a pedicure! These hot springs are home to the very fish known for this treatment - the Garra Rufa fish - so you can expect to emerge the waters with freshly exfoliated and revitalised feet!
