Czechia
Horse riding-enthusiasts rejoice - this centuries-old stud farm is open to the public for tours and exploration.
Situated outside its namesake of Kladruby na Labem, the Kladruby Stud Farm stands as a cultural stronghold of the Czech court. The Kladruber breed of horses is specific to the Czech Republic - over 400 years old and considered quite rare, they were originally bred exclusively for use in ceremonies of the royal court. Nowadays, visitors can walk the stables and storage of historic royal coaches and harnesses. There is a museum available for a more in-depth timeline of the breeding history since it started in 1579, or for visitors looking just for a cursory view of the landscape, there are general tours of the farm and resident chateau. Please be sure to visit https://www.nhkladruby.cz/en/for-visitors for important information regarding tickets and opening times.
