Georgia
This beloved seaside resort town is visited by both Georgians and foreign visitors alike, cherished for its mild climate and health benefits.
Kobuleti is a small resort town in western Georgia, situated on the eastern coast of the Black Sea. It is renowned for its mild subtropical climate, ionized maritime air, bright sunshine, warm sea, and the friendliness and hospitality of its locals. The town's main beach is sandy with beautiful views of the town's verdant landscape - pine trees, eucalypts, bamboo, cypress groves, and date and cocoa palms. The resort's peak season spans four months from June to September, when tens of thousands of both Georgian and foreign visitors flock here to enjoy all that Kobuleti has to offer. Although the history of the town dates back to the Bronze Age, Kobuleti has gained recognition for its healing properties over the past few decades: visitors have been drawn to its therapeutic environment to treat respiratory and other ailments. The town also has several attractions to offer during the off-season. Just a short drive from the town, Petra Fortress stands as a relic of Ancient Lazica and is among Georgia's most significant Roman-era archaeological sites. Moreover, Kobuleti serves as the gateway to the Kobuleti Managed Reserve, a part of Georgia's UNESCO World Heritage-listed Colchic Rainforests and Wetlands.
