Croatia
Overflowing with natural beauty, Croatia's seventh national park is also the only one where you can swim!
Situated along the Krka River in Central Dalmatia, Krka National Park's lakes and waterfalls make it the ideal spot for swimming and exploring nature. More than half of the Krka River is part of the national park, which includes the majority of the river lakes and two waterfall systems - Roski Slap and Skradinski Buk. There are over 222 bird species and 17 fish species to spot in the area. Along with its abundant wildlife, Krka also houses an ethnographic museum, the Visovac Monastery, and many caves and ruins. The nature trails and wooden bridges make it easy to navigate the park while enjoying the nature scenery.
