A short walk through the forest leads to a set of increasingly-beautiful cascades.
Kuyawyaw Falls offer little-known escape from the El Nido heat. A short, 10-minute walk bring visitors to the first of the 3 waterfalls. At about 4 meters high with a waist-deep pool, this a natural pit-stop where you can cool off before heading further to the 2nd tier. Another 10-15 minute walk will bring you to the second waterfall, which is the largest at 10 meters, and offers a spot to jump from to the left. The trek to the 3rd waterfall is a bit more challenging, is rope-assisted in some places, and requires a local guide to visit, but the sight of water pouring into a pool in a hollowed out ravine is well worth the extra effort.
