The pride of the people is alive and well in Lagos de Moreno. From its colonial architecture to its colourful streets, you can marvel at the beauty of Lagos de Moreno from the time the sun shines over this city until the night when the moon illuminates the streets. A wealthy colonial centre, Lagos de Moreno embraced the once wildly popular Baroque architecture, and it is reflected in its main bridge with its ornamentations. It is without wonder that this historic centre was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the main square, you can visit the House of Culture, which houses many Baroque pieces, as well as colonial history and Aztec relics. Surrounded by green, you can revel at the beautiful Mesa Redonda, a beautiful shelf mountain mirroring that of Table Rock in Capetown.
