The Tatras’ second highest mountain offers a dramatic cable-car trip above the clouds.
With an altitude of 2,634 meters, Lomnicky Peak is the second highest mountain in the High Tatras. In 1940, a cable car opened, allowing visitors easy access to the peak, and making Lomnicky one of the most popular destinations in the Tatras. The multi-legged cable-car journey brings visitors above the clouds, and into the kingdom of silence, and providing dramatic views of the soaring Tatras. On a clear day, you can see around ⅕ of Slovakia, as well as into the Polish lowlands. Please note: each cable car requires its own ticket, and as this is a popular destination, we recommend buying in advance at www.vt.sk/en/activities/cableway-trips/lomnicky-peak/
