The country’s longest beach is an undeveloped stretch of seaside heaven.
With 14 kilometers of undeveloped coastline, officials tout Long Beach as the “longest white beach in the Philippines”. While they say it’s three times longer than the Philippines’ most famous beach of Boracay, several rocky outcrops break Long Beach into smaller stretches of sand. But who cares if it’s uninterrupted - the real treat is that it’s undeveloped. With just a few fishing villages nearby, chances are it’s just going to be you, the sun, the sea, and some colorful fishing boats. While there are currently almost no amenities, and only a handful of guest houses, the construction of the San Vincent airport has speculators buying property for resort development, so if you like secluded beaches, it’s best to go ASAP.
