With its concentric rings of elliptical streets, which have remained intact over the centuries, the small village of Lucignano is an extraordinary example of medieval town planning. As visitors make their way through the narrow streets, to the heart of the village, the town's rich history comes to light. The Square of the Tribunal, lined with churches, and beautiful stone buildings is overlooked by the 13th century Town Hall. Inside, the village museum houses classic artwork and the unmissable Golden Tree.
