The Malta National Aquarium is housed in a uniquely designed building stylised like a starfish, located on the Qawra seafront. Inside, you’ll find tanks that recreate underwater environments found around the Maltese islands, including the impressive 12-meter diameter main tank which allows you to walk under a gallery and observe marine species from below. From cat sharks and clownfish to octopuses and various types of jellyfish, the aquarium showcases a wide array of captivating marine life in specially themed tanks. The Malta National Aquarium also features a terrarium housing reptiles, amphibians, and exotic invertebrates. Marvel at frogs, chameleons, snakes, and other fascinating creatures found in these enclosures. Check ot the replica of an ancient ghost shipwreck displaying ancient Roman remains alongside damselfish, clownsfish and cleaner shrimps. The aquarium is open every day from Monday to Sunday between 10AM and 8PM with an entry fee of €15.90.
