Visit the timeless Ferry Point Park and the striking Martello Tower that stands within it, crafted from the island’s rugged stone in the 1820s. This cylindrical wonder, reminiscent of an egg-shaped tower, stands as a proud sentinel along the coastline, a visual masterpiece inspired by Corsican design. Reach this treasure via a delightful stroll through the island’s beauty, with 64 acres of adventure unraveling around you with tales of yesteryears. Stride along the Railway Trail, tracing the footsteps of explorers before you and find yourself in tranquility at Lover’s Lake, before scaling the Martello Tower for a gateway to panoramic vistas. The park itself is a testament to the Bermudan Royal Navy, and contains other attractions such as Yellow Fever cemeteries and Whalebone Bay Beach. Martello Tower is open from 10AM to 2PM during the summer time. During winter, you will need special permission from the Department of Parks Bermuda to enter the fort.
