The town of Martvili, located in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region of western Georgia, is a treasure trove of natural wonders and historic attractions. The hilltop Martvili Monastery, reachable by cable car, served as Samegrelo's religious hub in the Middle Ages.
