The breathtaking views from Mirador de Catarina have made it a popular spot amongst visitors and locals alike. From here, you can look out over the Apoyo Lagoon, a volcanic crater that filled with water, as well as Lake Nicaragua and the Mombacho Volcano beyond. You’ll often find musicians performing here, and there usually vendors selling food, which makes it great for a quick break, or for longer stays to try the nearby zipline or hike down to the lagoon.
