The Mljet National Park encompasses most of the island but that doesn’t mean there aren’t tons of other things to do. Many parts of Mljet are well preserved in Illyrian history and showcases a Roman Palace, tombs, and fortresses of the time. Smell the salt in the air as you explore Odysseus cave or lounge in a lagoon. Spend a hour coasting down the Veliko lake while the sounds of the deeply forested nature captivate your senses. One can even get in touch with their spiritual side and walk down the path to the monastery of St. Mary or the Benedictine abbey. Mljet island is an unspoilt beauty waiting for people to appreciate it's hidden magic.
