Mt Wombat Lookout

This plateau offers 360 degree mountain vistas.

About

The Mt Wombat Lookout is part of the Strathbogie Ranges, a set of low mountain ranges in the state of Victoria. It is a tranquil escape with lots of pleasant walking to be done, and somewhere to fill your lungs with fresh, clean mountain air. From the lookout you’ll have views as far as 80 kilometers of the Goulburn Weir and the Waranga Dam, two impressive feats of engineering built to divert the water of the Goulburn River. If you find the thought of ascending the 799 metre climb a little daunting - don’t worry, cars can drive all the way to the top, so we’ll take you straight there!
