Cultural performances and traditional crafts entertain visitors while helping the local community.
Located within the Murchison Falls National Park, the Mubako Cultural Experience shares this remote village’s traditional way of life backed by the sprawling Savannah. In this cluster of traditional thatched huts, villagers perform vibrant songs and dances, illuminated by a campfire after dark, accompanied by the twang of cowhide adungus. Since farming the dry soil is hard, there are few other economic opportunities, these performances, and the handicrafts offered by local artisans, allow the villagers to support themselves and their children. Please note that due to the extensive wildlife conservation efforts, there is an admission fee ($40 for adults and $20 for children), payable upon entry to the park.
