Meet the world’s second largest penguin species at the only King Penguin colony in South America. *Tickets must be purchased in advance at https://www.pinguinorey.com/en/
Despite being at the very end of South America, the Pinguino Rey Park is perhaps the most convenient place on the planet to see King Penguins in the wild. Protecting a breeding colony at the edge of Tierra del Fuego, a wooden walkway leads you out to a blind where you can watch the birds go about their business in their natural habitat. As this is a true nature preserve, you’re still around 100 meters away from the colony, so you’ll want a telephoto lens for pictures. But binoculars are provided if you don’t have your own.
