Built right up to the sea, Piriapolis is of course known for its beaches, gorgeous promenades, and spectacular views. The city provides excellent opportunities to experience nightlife or get some delicious seafood at its many restaurants. You can visit an old Spanish look-out point used to monitor enemy ships approaching, which is now enshrined as a fountain with wonderful panoramic views. If your lucky you could even catch a live band performing! Don't miss the picture-perfect Piria’s castle, which was used to practice a religion that was a combination of Christianity and mysticism. If it’s views you like, make the hike up San Antonio Hill, the stunning backdrop has made it a popular place for proposals.
