Costa Rica
This nonprofit helps preserve wildlife and lets you lend a hand in their rehabilitation.
Proyecto Asis is a rescue center helping protect Costa Rica’s wildlife from illegal hunting and natural habitat destruction. Working together with non-profits, environmental agencies, and government entities to take in, rehabilitate and release animals back into the wild as often as possible. On a guided tour of Asis, you'll learn about the animals they’re helping, including those in danger of extinction, where they come from, and their welfare. This is an extra-special stop for animal lovers, because along with a guided tour, you can also volunteer at the wildlife rescue center, letting you have intimate interactions with them. Please note: advance booking is required to visit Proyecto Asis. Allow 120 minutes for this stop to allow for the duration of the guided tour. For more information, please visit www.institutoasis.com
