According to legend, Puebla was settled after a bishop dreamt of a magnificent city along a clear stream in a valley of woods. Angels descended from heaven to trace the city out before the bishop’s eyes which led him to discover the land where modern-day Puebla rests. The city remains as divine as ever with its beautiful main cathedral and array of elegant churches. These perfectly preserved structures rest amongst stunning Renaissance and Mexican Baroque buildings. Puebla was named a World Heritage City for its rich history and cultural heritage.
