Pueblito Boyacense

This art-filled village condenses the district’s many charming villages into one colorful experience.

About

Pueblito Boyacense is the brainchild of Colombian cultural activist Ricardo Bautista Pamplona, who wanted to ensure that visitors could experience the charms of Boyacá. To this end, he built a village of over 100 houses, with each block dedicated to one of the department’s towns. From the clean, white-washed walls of Villa de Leyva to the liquor vendors of Tibasosa, if you’re worried about seeing all of Boyacá’s villages, you can get a taste of each right here. And unlike other “model” towns, Pueblito Boyacense is actually lived in, with over 20 homes offering home-made arts and handicrafts, and several restaurants serve up traditional food.
