Often referred to as 'the small lakes of Plitvice', it’s a place where the crystal clear waters of river Slunjcica criss-crosses into the Korana river. The peaceful village has many well-preserved mills and waterfalls of different sizes. Although Rastoke was one of the hardest hit regions during the 1990’s conflict, it has undergone a successful restoration program under the direction of the government. Visitors can hike the pine forests and explores the nearby canyons and caves or simply relax at one of the town’s waterfront cafes.
