This beautifully kept castle is perched on the edge of a cliff with awe-inspiring views. Immediately after entering the castle, visitors find themselves in the tournament grounds surrounded by arched passageways that spark images of spectators cheering jousting competitions hundreds of years ago. Once in the heart of the medieval castle it is not difficult to understand why so many fairy tales are filmed here. A visit to Rosenburg provides a wonderful opportunity to understand the life of the nobility who lived there. There is a superb collection of armor as well as spectacular furniture and artwork that all add to the unique feel of the castle. Not to be missed are the famous castle gardens where wild roses cover a wall over 300 feet long and 30 feet high. This incredible Renaissance inspired garden contains over 120 species of roses and an enticing abundance of fragrances, which will inspire even the most cynical romantic.
