Routeburn Nature Walk

The full length of the Routeburn Track is 3 days, but this lovely little walk will take you just 40 minutes, with minimal ascent along this well-trodden path. Starting from the car park and crossing the Route Burn river via a swing bridge, this path initially follows the main track through silver beech forests before branching off toward the river again through red beech woods. You’ll invariably see many wildflowers, mosses, and birds along the way, with a multitude of helpful signposts explaining the ecosystem. Great views of the surrounding mountains will complete your excellent photograph collection.
