The Salto de Socoa isn’t the largest waterfall in the Dominican Republic, but it is a perennial favorite. Just a 20 minute walk from the road brings you to this picture-perfect cascade, surrounded by lush jungle. With the large pool at the base of the falls, and a number of smaller pools tucked away in the forest, it’s the perfect place to cool off, especially in the summer. Please note: entry to the falls is 100 pesos per person (cash only).
