Lush forest and craggy islands make for some stunning photos, especially at sunrise.
Samet Nangshe Viewpoint has become a favourite destination for nature lovers despite being just 30 minutes outside of Phuket. Looking east, you’re treated to a panoramic view of the limestone karst islands rising above Phang Nga Bay. Because of its orientation, visitors start showing up as early as 4:00AM to catch the breathtaking sunrise - or just stay overnight for views of the Milky Way. To reach the viewpoint visitors have to make a 15 minute hike uphill through the rainforest, but the views and photos from the top are more than worth it. During the day, there are usually vendors selling food and drink near the entrance.
