Shell Beach, in Shark’s Bay, Western Australia, is a shell-hunting child’s dream, with 60 kilometers of beach made up completely of cockle shells. There’s nothing man-made about this wonder - because there are no predators to diminish the thriving population of the Shark Bay Cockle, the species is allowed to flourish, and the shells have simply built up on the shoreline over time. And yes, don’t worry - you can swim! Take a dip in the crystal clear waters and walk along the show, and marvel at the spectacular show.
