Explore this UNESCO-listed estate for a comprehensive look at the work of one of the 20th century’s greatest architects.
Between 1911 and 1959, Frank Lloyd Wright used the 600-acre Taliesin Preservation as his home and architectural laboratory. Spread across the rolling hills, you’ll find buildings from every phase of the illustrious architect’s career, from the Romeo & Juliet Windmill built in 1896, to the Visitor Center that was added in 1967. Then there’s his Prairie School home, where you’ll find all his signature elements: locally sourced stone, cozy interiors, broad windows, and a cantilevered balcony jutting out into the valley. Taliesin offers offers a number of different tour options, from an hour in the main house, to four hours exploring every facet of the estate. We’d recommend booking in advance at taliesinpreservation.org
