The Alpaca Place was founded in 2001 by sisters Liz Barnes and Cheryl Hughson, and from their original 5 alpacas, they’ve since grown into a well-established farm selling alpacas to both the domestic and international markets On a guided tour of The Alpaca Place, you’ll get to meet these intelligent, gentle, and oh-so-soft animals, and learn about the history of alpacas is a country better known for its sheep. You’ll also be able to take an alpaca for a walk, including Bracken the miniature alpaca, for some one-on-one time. They’re very friendly, so be ready to cuddle! Afterwards, you can enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee before perusing the super-soft alpaca products on offer at the store.
