Explore one of the must-sees of the Quebrada de las Conchas (Shell’s Gorge): vibrant colored rock formations in the Calchaquí Valley located in between the towns of Salta and Cafayate. El Anfiteatro (The Amphitheatre), is a large semi-enclosed geological structure distinguished by its acoustics – hence its name. If you’re lucky, you will catch one of the live performances that often take place on the site. Since The Amphiteatre is harder to find than its neighbor, Garganta del Diablo, the site is usually much less crowded.
