Dozens of donkeys and mules have been saved from neglect and poor conditions and brought to this safe haven. Visitors can walk the grounds with the resident experts to learn their individual stories and how the staff provide expert and custom care to all the animals. More than just a retirement home, The Donkey Sanctuary is a registered Spanish non-profit association that works hard to help donkeys and mules all over the country, both physically and legally.
