Iceland
More than your usual car museum, the collection here gives a fascinating look at Iceland’s unique automotive history.
When it opened in 2000, the Transportation Museum at Ystafell was the first transportation museum in the country, and remains one of the largest. While this privately-owned collection exhibits plenty of classic cars, and other auto-curiosities ranging from car radios to license plates and hood ornaments, it’s the focus on Iceland’s transportation history that makes the museum truly unique. Where else are you going to see tanks repurposed to deliver milk, or giant snowmobile buses? For more information, please visit www.facebook.com/ystafellautomuseum
