Tucked away in the jungle, Tinago Falls literally means “hidden face” in reference to the 400+ steps it takes to reach the cascade. Local legend says the name comes from a baby cursed with ugliness who was hidden in a cave here until being transformed into the majestic waterfalls by a penitent enchantress. Streaming from the jungle, and then pouring 240-feet down a rocky cliff face, Tinago Falls is one of the most stunning in a region known for its waterfalls. While the journey down into the ravine isn’t easy, the cool blue waters of the waterfall’s pool are guaranteed to refresh you.
