Tolmin Gorges

The Tolmin Gorges are one of Slovenia's most magnificent natural phenomena. Hike along the gorges while enjoying lush vegetation, picturesque canyons, and the untouched beauty of nature.

About

The Tolmin Gorges are situated betweens rivers Tolminka and Soca and are the lowest entry point into the Triglav National Park. A walking trail following the stunning turquoise water enables visitors to view the gorges from top to bottom. The 2.5km walking trail leads you through the length of the gorge where you’ll encounter thermal springs, waterfalls, and small caves along the way. Bear’s Head, a natural bridge created by fallen rock, Devil’s Bridge, and Dante’s Cave (located near the gorge) are some of the more famous natural features you’ll experience on the trail. Visitors are advised to wear appropriate footwear, as the trails can become very slippery when wet.
