The Church of the Holy Trinity has no specific date inscription, but its proximity to the settlement of Gurjaani suggests it belongs to the same period of the 18th to 19th centuries. Approximately 1 kilometer north of the village, the church is a domed structure that follows the “Kuppelhalle” architectural style, and is constructed using cobblestone and brick. Magnificent views can be ascertained from the church, looking over Gurjaani. The village itself has a rich history and is documented in early 16th century records, serving as the hub of Georgia’s largest wine-making region.
