His home was converted into a museum in 1928 to commemorate his life and works, with many of his best-known pieces having been composed in the little garden hut on the estate. Inside is an exhibition center with a shop and cafe, a composer’s cabin, villa and a concert hall with seating for 200 spectators. Gain unique insight to his works and see the extensive collection of his personal possessions, including his piano, manuscripts, letters, and photographs. On the mountainside across the lake, Edvard and his wife Nina are buried. Guided tours run for groups and individuals on Tuesdays to Sundays from 10AM to 5PM, with an entry fee of NOK130.
