Two Eyes Cenote

These pools of impossibly clear water are the gateway to one of the world’s longest underwater cave systems.

About

The Two Eyes Cenote is part of the Two Eyes Cave System, one of the longest underwater cave systems in the world. The two sinkholes are connected by a subterranean passageway, and were where the original diving exploration of the cave system began. The stunning blue water and amazing cave system have made appearances in the IMAX film Journey Into Amazing Caves, and the 2006 BBC/Discovery Channel series Planet Earth. Today, the cenote is widely considered the most beautiful (and most popular) in the region. Stairs and platforms make it easy to get in for a dip, or snorkel. Please note tickets are not included. Entry is 350 pesos (cash only), or 600 if you'd also like to join a snorkeling tour.
