The Ulster Folk and Transport Museums are a two-for-one attraction offering a look at two important facets of Ireland’s history. At the open-air Folk Museum, walk among historic cottages, farms, shops, and churches furnished as they were a century ago. And for any passionate linguists, the library contains over 15,000 volumes and an archive of the Ulster dialects. And then there’s the Transport Museum, which is one of the most comprehensive in Europe. Learn about the evolution of land, sea and air travel through vintage cars and motorbikes, and Ireland’s largest collection of locomotives. One of the perennial favorites is a DMC DeLoran. There’s also a permanent Titanic exhibition which offers fascinating insights into the world’s most infamous vessel.
