In 1987, several organizations gave the Walt Disney Company 1943 hectares to build an urban project near its Paris theme park. In 2000, the project was completed. Covering 1,000,000 square feet, Disney made an amusement park for shoppers. The main gallery is lined with 160 shops, ranging from beauty, to fashion, to high-tech. Visitors can take a break at one of the many restaurants and cafes, which offer everything from sushi to croissants. Meanwhile, the nearby Vallée Village has 115 outlet shops offering huge discounts.
