This jewel on the waterfront is in the perfect location to hop on a ferry and enjoy all of the views along Lake Como's coast. Its close proximity to the Alps and Mediterranean-like climate offers plenty of activities and a perfect temperatures all year round. Some of the alleys in Varenna are very steep, but with steep hills come breathtaking views. To catch a glimpse of some Gothic and Renaissance architecture, venture to the center of town and peer at the home of the Church of San Giorgio.
