An entrancing cascade rushes down a mountainside amidst rugged cliffs and luscious greenery, and can be viewed at its very best from this stunning vantage point.
An awe-inspiring view of one of Madeira’s most beautiful waterfalls can be caught at the Véu da Noiva Viewpoint, also known as the “bride veil”. With the cascade running down a mountain and flowing straight into the Atlantic Ocean, it’s named after its appearance as a traditional white bridal veil. At a height of 30 meters, it flows gently and can be heard gushing from the viewpoint. Surrounding the platform is a delightful garden, with flowers that bloom especially during the springtime. Beyond the waterfall, observe the expansive ocean beyond and slopes of the northern coast, neighboring the many hiking trails and surrounding countryside of the area and nearby village of Seixal.
