Vina Santa Rita is one of Chile’s largest and most influential wineries. Founded in 1880, a large part of its success stems from its owner importing some of the finest French varieties, a team of top French winemakers, and specialized equipment. This investment paid off, not only by producing some spectacular wines, but changing the industry for the whole country. Vina Santa Rita offers a number of different guided tours through their vineyards and cellar, finished with a wine tasting, but that’s just an appetizer. Pair your tour with a walk through the beautifully landscaped park and gardens, learn Chilean history through the 3,000 artifacts on display in the Andean Museum, or sit down for a meal in the Doña Paula Restaurant, which was originally built in the 19th century as a refuge for independence soldiers.
