Nestled between the Namib desert and Atlantic Ocean, the Walvis Bay waterfront offers a pleasant place to enjoy the outdoors while avoiding Namibia’s environmental extremes. Grab a coffee and head out on a leisurely stroll, where you’re likely to see flocks of flamingos, dive-bombing pelicans, and maybe a seal or two. More adventurous types can try some of the many activities offered like quad biking, kite-boarding, sandboarding, kayaking, and canoeing. You can even sign up for a dolphin watching trip.
